Our Philosophy

A different kind of plant guidance.

GardenSeid exists to help people fall in love with plants—not feel intimidated by them.

Caring for plants is an opportunity to reconnect with nature in everyday life—to play in the dirt again, to learn, experiment, and try something new. Plants invite us to slow down, observe, and participate in the rhythms of the natural world.

Plants are living organisms. Leaves will brown, plants will occasionally struggle, and sometimes even well-cared-for plants don't survive.

So much of life asks us to be perfect, but nature invites something different—to find beauty in imperfection and to accept a world without clear rules or guarantees.

Nature is wild and unruly. It demands our attention and tolerates our care, but it cannot be controlled or tamed.

About Chelsea

Hi, I'm Chelsea Seid.

My love of plants began early, learning from my grandmothers and my mother, who both shared a love of gardening and caring for plants. That early exposure sparked a curiosity that stayed with me over the years.

While living in California, I developed a deeper interest in indoor plants, where greenery is such a natural part of everyday living spaces.

Today, my home and garden contain hundreds of plants—from houseplants propagated over the years, to flower beds, vegetable gardens, and seasonal plantings.

What people are saying.

Whenever I have a question about gardening or plants, I turn to Chelsea. I love her style and taste, and she knows what she's talking about. Her website is thorough and easy to navigate. For plant lovers like her, it's more than just shoving something in a vase and keeping it green. It really is tender love and care.

I always thought that I had a black thumb, but Chelsea helped me create a beautiful and lush herb garden that keeps my food tasty all spring and summer long! She made it easy, fun, and helped me pick the best plants for my garden.

Herb garden consultation, plant selection, and installation

I used Chelsea for the floral arrangements for my twins' engagement party and my daughter's bridal shower. She had a great eye for color and flowers, and perfectly captured the style of each event. The arrangements were beautiful, and she was wonderful to work with. I can't wait to work with her again for our next event.

Getting started is the hardest part. I had no idea where to begin with my first vegetable garden, so I reached out to Chelsea for some guidance. Her advice on seed starting and transplanting made something that felt complicated actually feel simple and manageable. It helped me focus on what matters and gave me the confidence to just get my garden going.
